Effect of Adsorption Compression on Catalytic Chemical Reactions

Funding will support small-scale, research and development activities to demonstrate that catalytic chemical reaction rates are increased by the phenomena of adsorption compression for commercially-relevant systems, that adsorption compression decreases the activation energy for reaction, and that the conditions under which this occurs can be predicted from measurements of the adsorption isotherm.
