The Department of Energy (DOE) proposes to conduct routine activities as needed at the Green River, Utah, Disposal Site. DOE performs annual site inspections in order to confirm the integrity of the site and disposal cell. Surface water and groundwater locations are also sampled annually. There are 3 surface water collection locations, 14 groundwater monitoring wells, 13 dataloggers, and an associated telemetry system that transmits water level data to the Grand Junction Office.
