Western Area Power Administration plans to install a fiber optic line on 15.4 miles of the Stegall-Gering South 115 kilovolt transmission line from the Stegall Substation to the Gering Substation. All work is on existing structures within the existing right of way and will require no road maintenance or reconstruction for access. Western will route the fiber optic line underground from pole 0/1 to the Stegall Substation a distance of approximately 35 feet.
