State Energy Program (SEP) funds will be used to enable First Class Tire Shredder to purchase advanced tire shredding equipment to be used for large scale tire recycling activities. The current practice is to shred incoming tires and to dispose of them in an area landfill. This new equipment will allow for increased efficiencies and small shred size which will allow for the sale of the material to local energy companies for waste to energy application. The proposed project will use the SEP funds to purchase equipment for the expansion of processing capabilities.
