The United States Department of Energy, Richland Operations Office proposes to deactivate the Critical Mass Laboratory (209-E building). Deactivation of the 209-E building will prepare the structure for future demolition under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act of 1980 (CERCLA).
