Millennial Nuclear Caucus

"Millennials will shape our energy landscape for years to come, leading our country into the next generation of nuclear advancement and energy dominance."

Secretary of Energy Rick Perry

The Millennial Nuclear Caucuses are a series of events that bring together the next generation of leaders in nuclear innovation. They feature discussions on the path forward for the nuclear industry and the role innovative technology will play. Participants at the events represent the full spectrum of the nuclear field, including young leaders supporting the existing fleet, those designing small modular and advanced reactors, and those advocating for a thriving nuclear future.

We encourage all young people interested in nuclear energy, advanced science and technology solutions, or the future of clean energy to attend and join in the conversation. We all have a stake in the future of nuclear!

If you can’t join us in person, please join the conversation on social media using #NuclearVisionary.

Upcoming Events

Albuquerque, NM - October 18, 2018 - Nuclear Science Week

We hope you can join the U.S. Department of Energy and the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History for a Millennial Nuclear Caucus in Albuquerque NM, as part of Nuclear Science Week. Please register here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/millennial-nuclear-caucus-tickets-50916638035.

In celebration of Nuclear Science Week, we will hold a special Millennial Nuclear Caucus featuring "Nuclear Science in Pop Culture." Nuclear energy provides nearly 20 percent of our nation's electricity and is our largest source of clean, carbon-free energy. Meanwhile, nuclear science has a long, interesting, and sometimes strange role in our popular culture, appearing in everything from The Simpsons to Back to the Future and The Martian.

Please join us for an exciting afternoon with nuclear scientists, policymakers, and thought leaders as we discuss the intersection of nuclear science and pop culture. We encourage all young people interested in nuclear science, advanced technology solutions, the future of clean energy, and popular culture to attend and join in the conversation!

Date: Thursday, October 18, 2018

Location: Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town, 800 Rio Grande Boulevard Northwest, Albuquerque NM, 87104
