These reports were developed to assist the US Department of Energy (DOE) in laying the groundwork for implementing an integrated waste management system. This includes preparing for future large-scale transport of commercial spent nuclear fuel (SNF) from nuclear power plants to eventual disposal and/or storage facilities. The reports address the tasks, equipment, and interfaces necessary for the complete de-inventory of SNF and commercial greater-than-class C waste from each respective nuclear power plant site, with estimated costs and schedules for the contractor-recommended approach. These reports are intended to provide information to support planning activities and future DOE decision-making, and will be built-upon further once there is an operational SNF transportation program. Reports for additional nuclear power plant sites are in progress.
