The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Indian Energy Policy and Programs staff are excited to attend the 2022 Reservation Economic Summit (RES) on May 23–26, 2022, at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada. Please attend our sessions, stop by our booth, and meet our team!

We hope RES will provide us an opportunity to connect and talk with tribal leaders and staff about our offerings and to gather feedback from you. We look forward to sharing how our Office offers financial assistance through competitive grants, technical assistance at no cost to Indian tribes and tribal entities, and education and outreach opportunities to support American Indian tribes and Alaska Native communities in achieving their energy goals.

Join Our Sessions

Wahleah Johns, the Director of the Office of Indian Energy, will provide remarks at the 'General Session & Luncheon' on Tuesday, May 24 beginning at noon.

Ms. Johns will also present at the 'Large-Scale Solar Development in Indian Country' session, happening from 10 a.m.—10:50 a.m. on Wednesday, May 25. Please join Director Johns and others to discuss the basics of the development of large-scale or utility-scale solar projects in Indian Country, Including leasing, rights-of-way, and other considerations.

The Office of Indian Energy will also host a number of sessions and opportunities for discussions throughout the day on Wednesday, May 25 in rooms Neopolitan III and IV. We invite you to join our full day of collaborative sessions to discuss new program initiatives, updates from the White House Council on Native American Affairs Energy Subcommittee, and provisions of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.  An overview agenda is provided below.
