Peebles Squire is the Communications Lead for the Office of Technology Transitions at the U.S. Department of Energy. In this role, he supports the mission of the office by ensuring consistency and clarity of messaging across its entire portfolio.

Prior to joining OTT, Peebles supported public affairs efforts at DOE’s Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy, where he managed press activity, social media, and served as a technical writer for a variety of the agency’s early-stage energy technology projects.

Before coming to DOE, he was Writer and Content Manager for Securing America’s Future Energy, a DC-based think tank seeking to reduce U.S. dependence on oil in the transportation sector as a matter of national and economic security. He also served for two years as a public affairs consultant for the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA).

Peebles earned his B.A. in Political Science from Virginia Tech and his Master of Professional French Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
