Two conferences brought together industry, academic, and government experts from across the bioeconomy supply chain to discuss research and development, emerging technology, and markets related to advancing the bioenergy industry. Bioeconomy 2020 is the Bioenergy Technologies Office's (BETO’s) primary vehicle to communicate its mission, accomplishments, and strategic goals. Bioeconomy 2020 sessions took place virtually on July 10, 2020.

BETO served as a co-sponsor of the Advanced Bioeconomy Leadership Conference (ABLC 2020). At ABLC 2020, attendees met leaders of the global advanced bioeconomy for a dialogue on the opportunities and challenges of this industrial movement toward sustainability and renewables.
