Jack Rouch was appointed Deputy Assistant Inspector General for Audits in January 2013.  He manages the planning, execution, and reporting for all Central Region audits.  Mr. Rouch has over 25 years of experience conducting Federal performance, financial, and information technology audits at multiple agencies.  Mr. Rouch began his Federal career as an auditor at the Department of Education Office of Inspector General in 1991.  In 2000, he joined the Office of Internal Review at the Defense Finance and Accounting Service.  As Deputy Director for Internal Review, Mr. Rouch managed a nationwide internal audit program for the world’s largest finance and accounting operation that disbursed over $450 billion a year on behalf of the Department of Defense.  In 2005, he joined the Department of Interior Office of Inspector General as the Central Region Audits Manager.  He joined the Department of Energy’s Office of Inspector General in January 2010 as the Assistant Director for the Energy Audits Division.  Prior to his Federal service, Mr. Rouch worked as a senior auditor at KPMG.  

Mr. Rouch received a Master’s Degree in Information Resource Management from Syracuse University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Virginia Tech.  Mr. Rouch is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of Virginia.
