The Chief Human Capital Officer (CHCO) is responsible for strategically aligning the agency's workforce to its missions through effective management of human capital policies and programs. The CHCO advises and assists the Secretary and Deputy Secretary of Energy, and other agency officials, in recruiting, developing, training, and managing a highly skilled, productive, and diverse workforce in accordance with merit system principles and all applicable statutory requirements.
