DOE ordered Olsun Electrics Corporation to abide by the compromise agreement after finding Olsun had manufactured and distributed in commerce in the U.S. basic model A72283, a noncompliant distribution transformer.  The Order adopted a Compromise Agreement, which reflected settlement terms between DOE and Olsun.

On July 21, 2017, DOE issued a Notice of Noncompliance Determination to Olsun Electrics Corporation finding that basic model A72283, of low-voltage dry-type distribution transformer does not comply with applicable energy conservation standards based on the company's own testing.  Olsun was required to notify each person (or company) to whom Olsun distributed the noncompliant product that the product does not meet Federal standards.  In addition, Olsun provided DOE documents and records showing the number of units Olsun distributed and to whom.
