The Electric Vehicle (EV) Site Assessment Training is a virtual training series hosted by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) that is designed to provide fleet managers and coordinators with the skills and knowledge to become subject matter experts in EV implementation.

This four-part training serves as an introduction to EV technology and considerations for electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) installation. Upon completion of this course, attendees will be able to select the best EVs for their fleet, as well as plan and install the necessary EVSE to serve the needs of these new vehicles.

This webinar will focus on advanced considerations for EV site assessments, optimally operating a fleet of EVs, and managing workplace charging.

This is a four-part training. Please see the dates below:

  • EV Champion Training 1: Electric Vehicle Technology and Financial Considerations (April 12, 2022)
  • EV Champion Training 2: EVSE Power and Utility Considerations (May 10, 2022)
  • EV Champion Training 3: EV Site Assessment (June 14, 2022)
  • EV Champion Training 4: Advanced Fleet Electrification (July 12, 2022, 10 a.m.–12 p.m. ET).

Instructor

Leidy Boyce, Research Engineer, NREL

Leidy Boyce joined NREL in 2020 and works in the vehicle technology integration office, she works closely with fleet vehicle data helping fleets implement electric vehicles and electric vehicle supply equipment to achieve fleet electrification goals. Prior to joining NREL, Leidy worked as a geoscientist in the oil and gas industry, evaluating oil and gas reserves from electrical, acoustic, and nuclear logging tools, supported field engineering operations, and assisted clients on establishing field development strategies.
