Learn More about EV Financials

FEMP's EV Champion Training series introduces EV technology basics and financial considerations for fleet electrification.

Find ENERGY STAR Certified EVSE

FEMP provides guidance for purchasing energy-efficient electric vehicle supply equipment.

The General Services Administration (GSA) is the federal government’s "one-stop shop" for supporting the transition of the federal fleet to a 100% zero-emission vehicle fleet. GSA Fleet procures the vehicles the government needs, provides the solutions to help agencies acquire the infrastructure to power those vehicles, and can contract for the installation of the equipment needed to get this effort started. Visit GSA's Fleet Electrification website for more information.

Fleet or facility managers interested in acquiring and deploying electric vehicles (EVs) and electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) can simplify the procurement process by purchasing through the GSA EVSE blanket purchase agreement (BPA), which offers discounted prices for a wide range of EVSE options with select features. In addition to the GSA EVSE BPA, even more options are available through GSA Advantage.

GSA also negotiates discounted prices for many EV models. In 2021, the Chevrolet Bolt was available on the GSA Schedule for almost $10,000 below MSRP. To learn more about that option and other alternative fuel vehicles, consult the GSA Alternative Fuel Vehicle Guide.

Procuring EV Infrastructure through Performance Contracts

EVSE and EVs may be procured in certain situations through energy savings performance contracts (ESPCs) and FEMP's Assisting Federal Facilities with Energy Conservation Technologies (AFFECT) funding opportunities. Learn more about procuring electric vehicle infrastructure.
