Mr. Schoen returned to the private sector in 2019 after serving four terms as a County Commissioner in Blaine County, Idaho. In addition to operating his farm in the Silver Creek area south of Bellevue, his work entails various sustainability initiatives, including energy, waste management, and conservation peacebuilding. While in the public sector, Mr. Schoen served on numerous local, state, and national boards and committees. He served previously as a Blaine County Planning and Zoning Commissioner, Carey Rural Fire Protection District Commissioner, and a Blaine Soil Conservation District Supervisor. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, a Master of Science in Journalism from Columbia University and attended the Graduate School of Business at Columbia. He was appointed to the board in June 2017.
