2017 National Cleanup Workshop

The Energy Communities Alliance (ECA) held the third-annual National Cleanup Workshop on Sept. 13-14, 2017, at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center in Alexandria, Va.  Cooperating organizations for the event included the Department of Energy (DOE) and the Energy Facility Contractors Group (EFCOG).

The workshop brought together senior DOE executives, officials from DOE sites, industry executives, local officials and other stakeholders to discuss the DOE Office of Environmental Management’s (EM) progress in the cleanup of the environmental legacy of the nation’s Manhattan Project and Cold War nuclear weapons program.

Approximately 660 attendees participated in this year’s workshop --- the largest Environmental Management-focused gathering in the Washington, D.C. area this  year. More information on previous National Cleanup Workshops can be found here.
