Now in its third year, the student poster competition attracted over a dozen submissions from graduate students across the country. Students submitted a one-page abstract – outlining the background and relevance of their work, key achievements, and future work – along with an additional page of sample poster figures. Submissions were judged based on quality of research, novelty, and innovation; impact on the field of SSL; and presentation quality and clarity.
Congratulations to the winners of the 2018 competition:
- Juan (Rachel) He, University of Central Florida
- Taehwan Kim, The Pennsylvania State University
- Shima Nezhadbadeh, University of New Mexico
- Kwing Tong, University of California, Los Angeles
