Metro Directions

The Metro rail and bus system is the environmentally-friendly and economical way to get to L'Enfant Plaza. The L'Enfant Plaza station is conveniently located on the blue, orange, yellow, and green lines.

Metro from Ronald Reagan National Airport takes approximately 15 minutes:

  • At the airport, take the yellow line toward Mt. Vernon Square, exiting at the L'Enfant Plaza station. Exiting the L'Enfant Plaza station can be tricky because there are multiple exits. From all four lines (yellow, green, blue, and orange), when exiting the station use the exit marked L'Enfant Plaza (not the Department of Transportation or Maryland Ave. exits).
  • At top of escalator, turn left, then immediately right through the glass doors into the La Promenade underground food court. Take the next right (after ROTI) and walk through the mall until you reach a sunlit atrium.
  • Turn left and continue about 100 feet to an escalator at the end of the hallway that will take you up to a security desk.
