track 4: enhanced geothermal systems (EGS) | geothermal 2015 peer review
You are here
The Energy Department pursues research in transformative science and engineering that the private sector is not financially or technically equipped to undertake. At the 2015 Peer Review, awardees in the Geothermal Technologies Office portfolio presented fifty three technical project presentations on enhanced geothermal systems technologies (EGS).
EGS technologies utilize directional drilling and pressurized water to capture energy from resources that were once considered unrecoverable. Collaborative projects in this program seek to improve innovative technologies and speed commercial-scale deployment.
