The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Hydrogen Program 2022 Annual Merit Review and Peer Evaluation Meeting (AMR) will take place June 6–8. The virtual event will provide a forum for program peer review and showcase how DOE's hydrogen portfolio is working to address climate change effectively and equitably.

The June 6 plenary session will kick off at 11 a.m. ET, with opening remarks from Secretary of Energy Jennifer M. Granholm and perspectives from Deputy Director for Energy Justice Shalanda H. Baker, followed by overviews of the Hydrogen Program and subprograms. A virtual networking session for all attendees will follow the Day 1 plenary session.

This year's AMR will also include updates on:

  • The deliverables and progress made by DOE on the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law hydrogen provisions
  • The groundbreaking Hydrogen Shot, which seeks to reduce the cost of clean hydrogen by 80% to $1 per 1 kilogram in 1 decade
  • DOE intra-agency hydrogen activities.
