The Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) engages in the Americas through bilateral partnerships with countries, including Brazil, Mexico, and Canada.
Bilateral Partnerships
Brazil
Under the U.S.-Brazil Strategic Energy Dialogue, EERE leads work in industrial energy efficiency and high performance building materials. While these projects foster exchange of ideas and promote innovation in both countries, they accelerate the adoption of energy efficiency technologies and practices in Brazil.
Canada
Collaborative activities include joint work in biofuels, energy efficiency standards, electric vehicles, building efficiency, and hydropower.
Mexico
Under the Bilateral Framework on Clean Energy, EERE and the Mexican government have identified a number of common interest topics for cooperation, including geothermal energy, and combined heat and power and district energy.
