Carys Behnke is an ORISE Science, Technology, and Policy Fellow with the Department of Energy in the Building Technologies Office (BTO), working on technology validation and demonstrations.

Carys received her Master of Science in Geography from Georgia State University. Her work focused on the uneven distribution of rooftop solar in Atlanta and the impact of changing demographics and housing patterns on the city’s stated environmental and equity goals. Previously, Carys worked on political campaigns and with adjacent organizations in an operations capacity.
