The Energy Department will present a live webinar titled "A Changing Market for Biofuels and Bioproducts" on Wednesday, May 27, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time.  Attendees will hear speakers Dr. Bryce Stokes with CNJV and Laurence Eaton from Oak Ridge National Laboratory discuss the Bioenergy Technologies Office’s report, the U.S. Billion-Ton Update, and other research efforts helping to enhance and secure a sustainable annual supply of  biomass for the U.S. bioeconomy. Additionally, Salim Morsey with Bloomberg New Energy Finance will preview the Bioenergy 2015 plenary talk on oil price forecasts and impacts, scheduled to take place June 23-24 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.

May 27:  Live Webinar on Tools for Evaluating Tribal Energy Efficiency

The Energy Department will present a live webinar titled "Models and Tools for Evaluating Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Programs" on Wednesday, May 27, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. This webinar is a continuation of the Tribal Renewable Energy Webinar series, and speaker Lars Lisell from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory will demonstrate several energy efficiency models and tools. Michael Troge of the Oneida Tribe of Indians of Wisconsin will share how he used these tools to create an energy optimization model for his tribe.

The Energy Department presented a live webinar titled “Biofuels for the Environment and Communities” on Wednesday, April 22. During this webinar, Drs. Virginia Dale from Oak Ridge National Laboratory and Christina Negri from Argonne National Laboratory discussed their sponsored research on how to develop biofuels that positively impact the environmental, socioeconomic, and technoeconomic sustainability of biofuel development in the United States.
