The Information Technology Services Office (ITSO) provides a range of information technology (IT) products and services to support the EERE mission. ITSO provides effective corporate management of EERE’s IT systems—including the planning, deployment, and ongoing management of IT assets—and ensures their compliance with federal and Departmental requirements.
ITSO provides guidance and support to EERE employees in the following areas:
ITSO provides comprehensive technical support to help EERE collaborate. This includes supporting in-person and virtual meetings at both HQ and field offices, as well as managing EERE’s SharePoint platform.
Network and Systems Administration
ITSO is responsible for the strategic vision, tactical development, deployment, and management of EERE's IT assets. The office performs all network, server, and application systems administration for the environments and systems that support EERE offices in managing their programs, projects, and data.
IT Support and Services
ITSO provides hardware and software to enable EERE to achieve its mission. This includes standard computer desktop hardware and software, as well as nonstandard, add-on hardware and software (upon request). ITSO is available to assist staff with a full range of IT systems, services, and resources.
Systems and Software Training
ITSO provides systems and software training to help EERE perform its day-to-day tasks. Training is available to all EERE team members (federal employees, contractors, fellows, and interns) through webinars, online courses, and in-person classes.
ITSO provides support to ensure that EERE is in compliance with federal legislation and DOE directives in the areas of cybersecurity, records management, the Freedom of Information Act, and the Privacy Act.
