Director, Office of Cyber Assessment Strategy

Mike Rozycki is the Director of the Office of Cyber Assessment Strategy within the Office of Enterprise Assessments (EA) at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).  In this role, Mr. Rozycki provides oversight and management for a team of cyber subject matter experts who develop and manage information identified from stakeholder engagements, assessments, and analysis of cybersecurity trends to enhance the overall effectiveness of EA’s independent oversight of DOE cybersecurity programs and performance. 

Before joining EA's Office of Cyber Assessments, Mr. Rozycki served as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Authorizing Official’s Designated Representative (AODR) at the National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL).  He also served in other information technology and cyber roles at NETL and in the Office of Legacy Management as both a federal and contractor employee.  Prior to entering federal civilian service, Mr. Rozycki served as a Lead Information Technology Project Manager at West Virginia University and a Project Manager at Sprint/Nextel.

Mr. Rozycki maintains numerous certifications including Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), Project Management Professional (PMP), and EC-Council’s Information Security Manager (EISM).  Additionally, Mr. Rozycki holds a Master of Science degree in Software Engineering from West Virginia University and completed the CISO-Executive Education and Certificate Program at Carnegie Mellon University.
