Related to recent electrical safety events that occurred at Sandia National Laboratories and associated facilities.

The Office of Enforcement issued Notices of Intent to Investigate to National Technology and Engineering Solutions of Sandia, LLC, and two subcontractors related to worker safety and health program requirements. On July 3, 2018, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Enterprise Assessments’ Office of Enforcement notified National Technology and Engineering Solutions of Sandia, LLC, the managing and operating contractor for the Sandia National Laboratories, and two subcontractors, Applied Construction Technologies II, and Marto Electric, LLC, of its intent to investigate potential noncompliances of DOE worker safety and health program (10 C.F.R. Part 851) requirements, as revealed by the facts and circumstances associated with the electrical safety events that occurred at Sandia National Laboratories and associated facilities.
