Related to potential nuclear criticality control weaknesses at the Y-12 National Security Complex.

On November 13, 2018, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Enterprise Assessments’ Office of Enforcement notified Consolidated Nuclear Security, LLC (CNS), the managing and operating contractor for the Y-12 National Security Complex, of its intent to investigate potential noncompliances with DOE nuclear safety program requirements (10 C.F.R. Part 830) associated with potential nuclear criticality control weaknesses identified at the Y-12 National Security Complex between May 2017 and May 2018.
