Director, Office of Cyber Assessment Strategy
Tarra Anthony is a seasoned professional with 20 years of experience supporting the private and federal sectors in program/project management, information technology (IT), and cybersecurity. Her expertise resides in leadership of complex multi-million dollar programs, cybersecurity organizational change management, strategic planning, and developing high performance organizations.
Ms. Anthony is the Director of the Office of Cyber Assessment Strategy within the Department of Energy's (DOE) Office of Enterprise Assessments. As director, she is responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans, policies, and guidance for the Office of Cyber Assessments to adhere to DOE Orders and federal laws, as well as regulatory guidance from throughout the federal government. She is also responsible for developing systems and procedures for tracking and trending cybersecurity assessments and reports, formalizing the catalog of existing cybersecurity assessment capabilities, maintaining strategic assessment requirements, and responding to specialized and ad hoc cybersecurity advisory requirements.
Prior to joining DOE, Ms. Anthony supported several federal agencies by leading and managing successful cybersecurity teams at the Departments of Defense, Homeland Security, and Health and Human Services, and at the Department of Transportation where she served as Information Systems Security Manager and Program Manager responsible for providing oversight and leading the operational IT Security Program for the agency.
Ms. Anthony is a certified Project Management Professional. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and Master of Science degree in information technology information assurance, both from the University of Maryland University College.
