Search Acquisition Description for plain-language terms and filter NAICS Code using the first two or three digits before narrowing to a six-digit code. MATCH Shortlist records by fit, Program Office, Performance End Date, Estimated Value Range, and place of performance. Use the SBPM Directory to learn about the organization, confirm the small business contact, and find official websites, forecasts, or supplier portals. PURSUE Treat each row as a lead to verify. Check SAM.gov, FedConnect, and any applicable DOE or site-contractor portal for active notices and current instructions. Then make one focused move, such as monitoring the account, registering in a supplier portal, submitting a capability statement through an approved channel, or asking the SBPM a specific question tied to your fit. NAICS Code Six-digit North American Industry Classification System code associated with the record. Treat it as text. 3. NAICS Description Plain-language description associated with the NAICS Code. 4. Program Office DOE program office or organization associated with the record. 5. Current Incumbent Business currently performing the listed work. 6. Current Contract Number Identifier for the current award. Some values combine a master award or IDV number and an order number using " / ". Treat the full value as text. 7. Acquisition Description Description of the requirement or acquisition planning signal. 8. Estimated Value Range Estimated dollar-value band for the forecast record. Treat the published range label as a category rather than calculating from the text. 9. Contracting Officers Business Size Selection Business-size category recorded for the current expiring award. 10. Type of Set Aside Set-aside category recorded for the current expiring award. 11. Contract Type Contract or order type recorded for the current expiring award. 12. Principal Place of Performance State State shown for the record. The source may use Unavailable. 13. Small Business Program Manager DOE small business contact information associated with the record. A value may contain multiple email addresses separated by semicolons or may direct the user to DOE OSBP when a position is vacant. IMPORTANT INTERPRETATION NOTES - Performance End Date, Contracting Officers Business Size Selection, Type of Set Aside, and Contract Type describe the current expiring award. They do not state the planned terms of a future solicitation. - This 13-column layout contains prime contracting forecast records only. It does not contain row-level M&O or facility-management subcontract forecasts. Use supplier portals and forecast links in the SBPM Directory for that separate research. If subcontract records are added later, the public data will add a column identifying prime versus subcontract and this README will need revision. - N/A and Unavailable are source values. Do not silently replace them with a guessed value. - Descriptions and business names may contain commas or quotation marks. Use a standards-compliant CSV reader. Do not split a line on commas by hand. - The file has no published permanent row identifier. For reproducible work, retain the source filename and CSV row number with Current Contract Number. - Advertising or bulk marketing submissions are not permitted. Use contacts for specific, researched questions. PAIRING WITH THE SBPM DIRECTORY Start by comparing Program Office with Organization Name in the current SBPM Directory. Use an exact, case-insensitive name match when possible. For names that do not match exactly, review the organization, acronym, mission, related organizations, and contact information. Do not rely on unrestricted fuzzy matching. The forecast contact field can support a match, but it is not a guaranteed one-to-one key. A contact may support more than one organization, and one forecast value may contain several contacts. Add the directory's sbpmdirectory_id only after confirming the organization match. Preserve the original Program Office and contact values in all derived files.
