Jaime Claudio brings over 35 years of federal government service to his new role as the Department of Energy’s Chief of the Equity and Diversity Division.  He serves as the primary lead for reviewing Headquarters and field site EEO programs and outcomes on behalf of the Deputy Director, Office of Civil Rights and Diversity, and provides direction, supervision and guidance to Equity and Diversity staff and field offices. 

From 2011 until 2019, Jaime was the EEO/Diversity Programs Manager for the Department of Energy Chicago Field Office (now part of the Office of Science Integrated Service Center.) Prior to joining the DOE, Jaime worked for the U.S. Postal Service in various local, regional and National capacities.  Over his last 26 years with USPS, Jaime served as a Hispanic Program Specialist, Senior Diversity Programs Coordinator and National Human Capitol Specialist. 

All of these roles provided Jaime with extensive knowledge of equal employment opportunity principles and laws, implementation of diversity and inclusion strategic plans and execution of special emphasis programs as well as analysis and summaries related to underrepresented groups in the workplace and supervising the development and delivery of EEO and diversity and inclusion training. 

Jaime holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Illinois University.
