More than 400 people representing their Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs), higher education and financial institutions, non-profit organizations, Department of Energy program offices and national labs, Minority Business Development Agency, and other agencies across the federal family, came together last month to network, connect, and explore opportunities centered in energy equity and justice. A virtual offering for those unable to attend in person was made available via recorded sessions the following week, reaching over 150 additional stakeholders.

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) opened its doors to nearly 400 stakeholders for the first-ever 2023 Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Connect Summit on February 23, 2023, to raise awareness and increase the participation of MBEs and higher education institutions in DOE funding opportunities. A virtual offering for those unable to attend in person was made available via recorded sessions the following week, reaching over 150 additional stakeholders.

Together we will learn how to engage in business with the Department of Energy and engage with leaders in government and industry to learn more about how the energy industry is responding to historic federal investments in clean energy and communities.
