My participation in the MEISPP program allowed me to work for the Office of Economic Impact and Diversity which closely matches future career goals I have for myself. Working in an office that allowed me to work on projects that would create opportunities for more job placements in the clean energy sector was exciting. The projects that I focused on all centered around the same ideology – provide education, access, and opportunity to anyone willing to take a plunge into clean energy. My biggest takeaway was the dedication that this office truly focuses on creating chances for individuals to have their lives greatly improved regardless of race, socioeconomic status, and education level. I am very proud to say that the work I did will add on to this office’s mission and I hope to work with them again in the future.
