Hello, I am Tiffany Liu! I have a master of law degree with a concentration in international business law from the University of International Business and Economics in China. I am currently pursuing a master's of science business-finance at the University of Baltimore.

In addition to my coursework, I provide free tax preparation services for low-to-moderate income taxpayers, those that have limited English-speaking capabilities, and senior citizens in Baltimore through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) programs.

I have always wanted to intern for the federal government, and so the Minority Education Institute Partnership Program (MEISPP) is a dream come true. During my internship at DOE, I worked underneath Supervisory Budget Analyst Sylvia Colley as a budget analyst for the Office of Management. My major responsibilities were interpreting the laws and regulations related to federal agency budget management and internal controls. I developed and updated the standard operation procedures on Internal Controls Reporting, Official Reception and Representation, and Non-Commercial Travel.

This internship has left an invaluable legacy in my career development and solidified my determination to pursue a career with the federal government. This experience and the spirit of DOE will have a profound impact on every step of my future journey.
