On September 17, 2018, during the White House Initiative’s HBCU Week conference held at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park in Washington, DC, the DOE partnered with representatives from the White House Initiative on HBCUs, the National Science Foundation, and the Department of Education to convene a collaborative discussion to highlight funding opportunities, awarded by each agency, that foster competitiveness at HBCUs in STEM education and research.

Additionally, James Campos, Director of the Office of Economic Impact and Diversity, was on hand to assist in presenting awards during the White House Initiative's Excellence in Innovation and Competitiveness Awards luncheon. Congratulations to the awardees!
