H Tank Farm Operator
SRS / H-AREA
SRR
1988-2021

Savannah River Remediation (SRR) was saddened by news of Mr. Joe Jackson passing. A few years after graduating high school, Mr. Jackson (known to family and friends as JoJo) accepted a position at the Savannah River Site in 1988 and was assigned to the Liquid Waste Division (LWD), where he remained committed for 32 years.

During those 32 years, Mr. Jackson held several positions within the liquid waste facilities. He was initially assigned to the In-Tank Precipitation Facility during the early startup testing phase. He later transferred to H-Tank Farm, where he would qualify and work as a Tank Operator, followed by qualifying and working as Control Room Operator. That progression of work showed Mr. Jackson’s ability, determination, and quest to help his co-workers and the company.
