October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month, otherwise known as NCSAM. This is a nationwide collaborative event led by the National Cyber Security Alliance and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security that helps Americans to understand and avoid various risks we face when using digital technology and the Internet. The U.S. Department of Energy is proud to be a federal partner in this critical awareness initiative.

Cybersecurity is a key priority at DOE, but all of us – even cybersecurity experts – can benefit from learning more about what we can do at home to protect ourselves and our families from the latest cyber threats.  That’s why, throughout October, every year, we provide the opportunity to participate in a number of events and take advantage of a variety of resources to help you better understand cybersecurity risks and the simple steps you can take to protect yourself, your family, and our organization.
