Corvette Racing, Muscle Milk Teams Crowned Green Racing Champions

With a wave of the checkered flag, the fourth Green Racing season came to an end in late October at the Petit Le Mans – an American Le Mans Series (ALMS) race at Road Atlanta in Braselton, Georgia. The Green Racing protocols – published by the Energy Department, Environmental Protection Agency and SAE International – emphasize cleaner fuels, efficient vehicle technologies, and speed in the races that adopt them, such as the Petit Le Mans.

A Community Leaders Institute (CLI) was held September 6 and 7, 2013, in the King Frazier Student Center at Savannah State University in Savannah, Georgia. Sponsors included the Medical University of South Carolina, South Carolina State University, Savannah State University, Southeastern Virtual Institute for Health Equity and Wellness, the U.S. Department of Energy, and the U.S. Department of Defense.
