AEP Ohio residential customers who purchase new EnergyStar certified electric heat pump water heaters, refrigerators, air purifiers, clothes waters, and dehumidifiers may qualify for rebates.
Multi-family Direct Install Program
Owners of multi-family properties with tenants individually metered on residential accounts are eligible to receive free compact flourescent bulbs (CFLs), low-flow faucet aerators, and energy efficient shower heads.
In-home Energy Program
The AEP Ohio In-home Energy Assessment and In-home Energy Audit Programs offer rebates for the installation of energy-saving measures recommended by a program-approved auditor. Customers can request an audit or assessment from the first number listed, below, and have twelve months from the date of the audit/assessment to submit all rebate applications. Rebates will be paid to all eligible and qualifying applications until the budget is exhausted.
Interested participants can find the relevant rebate chart with equipment specifications on the program website. Repayment takes 5 to 7 weeks and is subject to the availability of program funds. Rebate amounts can change at any time. The program expires December 31st, 2016.
AEP Ohio also offers an Online Energy Profile. Customers can answer questions online about their home, appliances and energy use. They can receive free, personalized recommendations for saving energy. They may also receive a free energy efficiency kit by mail.
