Department of Energy Official to Highlight Selection of Four Small-Scale Biorefinery Projects in Press Conference Call
Small-scale biorefineries will be built in: Colorado, Missouri, Oregon and Wisconsin
 
WASHINGTON, DC – This afternoon, U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Andy Karsner will host a press conference call to highlight DOE’s selection of four small-scale biorefinery projects that will be located in Commerce City, Colorado; St. Joseph, Missouri; Boardman, Oregon; and Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin.  These biorefineries will contribute to the President’s goal of bringing online more clean, renewable energy technologies to reduce our nation’s reliance on foreign oil in the interest of national, energy and economic security.  Earlier today, Secretary of Energy Samuel W. Bodman announced a total of $114 million for DOE’s selection of four small-scale biorefinery projects.
