Department of Energy Senior Official to Participate in Press Conference to Announce an Expansion of FreedomCAR and Fuel Partnership
Partnership to Accelerate the Delivery of Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles to the Marketplace
WASHINGTON, DC - On Friday, June 20, 2008, U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Alexander (Andy) Karsner will participate in a press conference to announce expansion of the FreedomCAR and Fuel Partnership, aimed at accelerating plug-in hybrid electric vehicles to the marketplace. Assistant Secretary Karsner is expected to highlight the Administration’s long-term strategy to increase the nation’s energy and economic security by researching, developing and deploying clean, cutting-edge vehicle technologies that will help diversify the nation’s energy sources and fundamentally change the way Americans power their vehicles.
