U.S. Acting Deputy Secretary of Energy to Attend Launch Event for Nation’s Largest Biodiesel Refinery
WASHINGTON – On Monday, June 2, 2008 U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Acting Deputy Secretary Jeffrey Kupfer will deliver remarks at the launch of GreenHunter Energy’s biodiesel refinery, which will be the nation’s single largest biodiesel refinery, producing 105 million gallons of “white-water” B100 biodiesel per year. Acting Deputy Secretary Kupfer is expected to highlight the Department’s investment in the research, development, and demonstration of second generation sustainable biofuels as part of the Bush Administration’s comprehensive strategy to diversify our nation’s energy supply and sources to increase national energy and economic security.
