Acting Deputy Secretary of Energy to Highlight the Bush Administration’s Clean Coal Initiatives

WASHINGTON, DC – On Thursday, U.S. Acting Deputy Secretary of Energy Jeffrey F. Kupfer will deliver remarks at the National Coal Council’s spring meeting.  The Acting Deputy Secretary is expected to highlight the Administration’s energy strategy for advancing clean coal technologies, including carbon sequestration.

The National Coal Council is a Federal Advisory Committee to the U.S. Secretary of Energy and provides advice and guidance on general policy matters related to coal.
