U.S. Department of Energy Under Secretary in Atlanta to Highlight the Bush Administration’s Efforts to Increase Energy Security by Utilizing Energy Efficient Vehicle Technologies

WASHINGTON, DC – On Monday, February 25, 2008, U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Under Secretary Bud Albright will deliver keynote remarks at the Work Truck Show and Hybrid and Alternative Fuels Summit in Atlanta, Georgia.  Under Secretary Albright is expected to highlight the Administration’s ongoing work with industry and long-term strategy to increase our nation’s energy and economic security by developing and deploying clean, cutting-edge technologies that will use alternative fuels and utilize conventional fuels more efficiently in our Nation’s transportation sector.

The Work Truck Show is part of the National Truck Equipment Association’s 44th Annual Convention, which is open to manufacturers, distributors, fleet managers, leasing companies, truck dealers, buyers and users of work trucks in all industries.  Participants will hear from a variety of government officials, industry and academic experts on an array of topics related to alternative fuel and hybrid vehicle technologies, and will learn how these technologies can be deployed and integrated into a fleet.
