EA-1812: Finding of No Significant Impact

Haxtun Wind Energy Project, Logan and Phillips Counties, Colorado

DOE has issued a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) based on the information in the Final EA, FONSI, and the Supplement Analysis (SA) prepared to address changes in the design and operating parameters of the NECO (formerly Haxtun) Wind Farm Project (“original proposed project”) in Logan and Phillips Counties, Colorado. In January 2012, the DOE published the Final Environmental Assessment (“DOE/EA-1812”) for the original proposed project and published a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) on January 4, 2012. DOE/EA-1812 was conducted to analyze and disclose potential environmental and socioeconomic impacts that would result from the construction and operation of the original proposed project, which received federal funding through a Community Renewable Energy Deployment (CRED) Program grant to Phillips County, Colorado.
