DOE Funding of the Construction and Operation of the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams; Michigan State University, East Lansing, Michigan

DOE issued final DOE/EA-1684, which analyzed the potential environmental impacts of funding the construction, operation, and ultimately decommissioning of a particle acceleration facility at the Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. The proposal included construction of additions to existing buildings on the University campus, ancillary laboratories, support facilities, and offices adjacent to the existing National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory, which would ultimately be subsumed into the particle acceleration facility.
