The Washington Department of Commerce and Whole Energy Fuels Corporation are proposing to use American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funding for the purchase and installation of equipment for production of biodiesel-blended fuel with installation at two established industrial facilities in Anacortes and Tacoma, Washington. These facilities are the Venoil, LLC Biorefinery facility and Truck Rail-Handling, Incorporated facility. Whole Energy Venoil, LLC Biorefinery is a biodiesel manufacturing facility which is being developed and converted into a biodiesel refinery. Both existing facilities have been in operation with petroleum products for 20 years and are already fuel distribution locations. The fuel blending equipment that will be installed at these facilities will be pumps, valves, meters, mixers, and control systems in addition to the existing pumps, meiers, mixers, etc., that are already in use at the facilities. The equipment will be installed on fixed-mounted skids and used to pump, blend and meter the biodiesel fuel. The installation of new equipment is planned for existing and heavily industrialized sites.
