Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program. The primary objective of the City Center Transit Oriented Development study is to conduct a high-level planning effort to determine the City's vision for the area, define expected outcomes and constraints, and lay out an implementation plan for future efforts. The next phase will focus on future land use and zoning enhanced mobility and connectivity, and supportive infrastructure. Citizens and City staff will also be able to take part and give input on the next phase of this process. At the completion of the next phase, an implementation plan will be defined, including schedule, applicable regulatory issues, development of a capital improvements plan, funding sources, and a monitoring program. The end goal of the City Center initiative is to make the entire City Center area a sustainable destination within the City where residents, consumers, and visitors from neighboring communities can live, work, and "play" in an environmentally friendly atmosphere.
