Activity #9 Central Maintenance Facility Compressed Natural Gas Fueling Station Retrofit
CX(s) Applied: B5.1
Location(s): Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Office(s): Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, Golden Field Office
The City of Oklahoma City would utilize $1,200,000 in Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) funds to retrofit an existing slow-fill compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station to an 8 hose fast-fill CNG fueling station at the City of Oklahoma City Central Maintenance Facility (CMF), a multi -departmental complex that is gated and not accessible to the public. This project will allow expansion of the existing fleet for light duty and heavy duty applications. CNG is currently provided by the Oklahoma Natural Gas Company (ONG) to the CMF from a single line that begins at SW 15th Street and S. Portland Avenue. The source for the retrofitted fast fill facility will be a new single CNG line that will connect with the existing line and extend within the CMF footprint; all improvements would be made entirely within the existing CMF footprint.
