Replace 200,000 Gallon Water Storage Tank at Material Fuels Complex
CX(s) Applied: B1.15
Office(s): Idaho Operations Office, Nuclear Energy
The project is to replace the current 200,000 gallon potable water tank at the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) Materials and Fuels Complex (MFC) with a new 300,000 gallon water tank. The existing tank and foundation will be removed and the waste materials managed and disposed under the direction of Waste Generator Services (WGS). The purpose of this project is to replace an older, outdated tank (installed in 1961) with a new tank with greater capacity and a more environmentally appropriate design (better corrosion resistance). The new tank will better ensure continued operation of a safe and dependable water system for a wide range of activities and services at the MFC.
